Flash Marriage to a Crazy Rich Husband: I Shocked the World! - Chapter 89

 Chapter 89: Satisfaction

Li Junlu was instantly speechless.

Song Hanmei understood the situation. She was afraid that Li Junlu would fall for the trick. “Returning it will involve a discount, right? It's not a good deal. I'll go back and prepare two boxes of other things for you with your father.”

Ying Sisi had a mocking smile on her lips. “Two boxes of what? Blankets, pillows, pots, pans? If you don't want to give them, don't give them. Why make excuses?”

Li Junlu felt a surge of shame and anger. In a moment of panic, he made a promise. “Who is making excuses? I have already decided to buy you a big wardrobe.”

“Really? Thank you, Dad.” Sisi thanked him.

She was afraid that if she waited a second longer, Li Junlu would change his mind.

Li Junlu: "…"

Song Hanmei felt uncomfortable. She muttered. “A wardrobe isn't much cheaper than a bike.”

“Then what do you say?” Li Junlu growled, suppressing his anger.

Song Hanmei said, “Just prepare two boxes of things. I went to Qin's house today. They've already prepared the dowry. The furniture and appliances are all there.”

Li Junlu's eyes lit up. He went from angry to happy. “They prepared them? Do they have a sewing machine and a TV?”

“Yes, they even have the bride's dress.” Song Hanmei's tone was sour. Her eyes were full of jealousy and resentment.

Li Junlu was proud again. Qin's family valued Sisi so much. His position was secure. “Did they buy shoes? Let's buy Sisi a pair of leather shoes. They'll match her new clothes.”

Song Hanmei said angrily. “I'm not going.” It's not like she's my biological daughter. Why should I bother? She suddenly remembered something. “Sisi, explain the vegetable situation to me.”

Li Yuwei's heart jumped.

Ying Sisi looked confused. “What vegetables?”

Song Hanmei said, “Half of the vegetables in the cellar are gone. Didn't you send them to your in-laws' house?”

“Don't accuse me of something I didn't do.” Sisi glanced at Li Yuwei and cursed. “Who sent vegetables to their in-laws' house? Whoever did that is a dog. They were born without an ass.” She didn't send vegetables to her in-laws' house. She sent them to the old lady and to her own house.

Li Yuwei was like a cat with its tail stepped on. She was furious. “Who are you calling a dog?”

“I'm not calling you a dog. Why are you in such a hurry?” Sisi asked. “Did you steal them?”

“I took our family's vegetables. How can you say that I—.” Li Yuwei realized that she had fallen for Sisi's trick.

Song Hanmei's face burned with shame. In the end, it was her own daughter who took them. “You! You! You're going to make me angry!”

Li Yuwei said pitifully, “We have so much food in our house. What's wrong with sending some out?”

Song Hanmei kept hitting her chest.

Suddenly, her eyes rolled, and she fell to the ground.

“Thump!”

Li Junlu and his daughter didn't react in time. They were stunned. When they finally came to their senses, Song Hanmei was already on the ground, her lips white, her face pale. She was unconscious.

Sisi felt satisfied.

She deserves it!

That bad woman!

Li Yuwei cried and shouted. “Mom! Mom!”

Li Junlu rushed to pick her up. “Sisi, come and help.”

Sisi said calmly. “Actually, I know how to cure this. A grandma in our village once taught me. She said that when she was a courtesan, the new girls in the brothel wouldn't listen and were often beaten unconscious by the bad pimps. She would massage their acupoints, and they would wake up after a while.”

Li Yuwei was furious. “Are you calling my mom a courtesan?”

“Auntie's looks can't compare to a courtesan. The courtesan grandma said that only the best-looking women could be courtesans. They had to have delicate features, a graceful figure, and talent. Auntie is just a servant in the brothel…”

Transmigrated to a Prehistoric Tribe to Farm and Build Infrastructure - Chapter 01

Chapter 01: Male, Will You Marry Me?   This wasn't a dilapidated shack?!   Changxia stared at the 50-60 square-foot earth-pit tent. Old animal hides were draped over branches, bound together with vines – simple and rustic. Changxia’s lips twitched uncontrollably; she could only feel speechless. The tribesmen who had brought her here had already left.   She put down her backpack, placing her belongings to the side, not hurrying to begin work.   There was no mistake; this would be her home for the rest of her life.   After silently appreciating it for a moment, Changxia turned to look at Chen Rong behind her. His face was pale, his gait weak and unsteady. One glance revealed his poor health.   “You stay outside, I’ll go in and clean up alone,” Changxia said.   “It’s fine, let me come in with you. This animal den hasn’t been lived in for a long time. Besides insects and ants, we need to check if the roof is rotting,” Chen Rong smiled slightly, e...

Flash Marriage to a Crazy Rich Husband: I Shocked the World! - Chapter 38

Chapter 38: Worth a Thousand Gold       The door was unlocked.   Sisi had gotten up and was washing her face, applying face oil, when she heard someone calling “Wife” outside.   She opened the door to find Qin Yanci standing there.   Sisi's face lit up, and she greeted him sweetly, “A-Ci, what brings you here? Come in.”   Qin Yanci whispered, “It's about the stamps.”   “You traded them for money?” Sisi waited expectantly for his answer.   Qin Yanci said, “I wouldn't trade them without your consent.”   Sisi's heart skipped a beat. Being respected felt so good. She was eager to know the stamps' value. “How much are they worth?”   “Ten yuan.”   Sisi gasped in astonishment. Ten yuan? Over a hundred stamps, worth a thousand gold?   She was rich!   With this money, she could indulge in her buying and selling ventures.   She excitedly grabbed his hand. “Where did you trade them?”   Qin Yanci lowere...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 13

Chapter 13: You Have a New Order Of course, Chen Fan wouldn't argue with Keeper Huang. He thanked him profusely. He had brought a big bag of sweet potatoes, free of charge, how could he not express his gratitude? After seeing Keeper Huang off, he really didn't dare close the door again, so he just left the door slightly ajar, at least that would provide some cover. He went back into the room. He didn't even touch the tea he poured for Captain Yang. He picked it up and felt it. The temperature was just right, so he took a big gulp. It tasted pretty good, what kind of tea is this? He stood up and lifted the lid of the teapot. He saw two large leaves floating inside, about the size of a baby's palm. It turned out to be “ one-horse tea ”. “One-horse tea” refers to a type of tea where a single leaf can be used to make a pot of tea. Some places also call it “ three-horse tea ”. These leaves are not actually tea leaves, but they are harvested from fresh “ HuBei Hawthorn ” lea...
