Flash Marriage to a Crazy Rich Husband: I Shocked the World! - Chapter 10

Chapter 10: Seeking Opinion or Issuing a Notice?

"This girl is even shy," Lu Yuechun teased.

Ying Sisi felt even more embarrassed and ran back to the kitchen to escape.

After the rice was steamed, she mixed it with eggs and fried up a large portion of egg fried rice.

Just as she finished serving it, there was a bang, followed by Qin’s mother leaving Qin Yanci’s room with a look of indignation.

Had she argued with Qin Yanci and been kicked out?

And Qin Yanci had slammed the door?

Would she be blamed if she went in now?

It would be rude to just leave, right?

After a moment of hesitation, she carried her bowl of rice forward and gently pushed the door open.

The wooden door swung open instantly.

Qin Yanci was sitting by the bed, his head lowered as he stared at the floor. When he turned his face, his wheat-colored complexion was slightly pale, his eyes were slightly red, and a hint of murderous intent lurked in them. A second later, he said coldly, "You can leave."

Ying Sisi feared being used as a punching bag, so she held her breath and carefully set down her bowl and chopsticks, replying meekly, “Oh, the food is here. Remember to eat.”

As she turned to leave, she tripped over his foot in her nervousness.

Her body tilted, and she fell onto him, her lips brushing against his cheek.

Their eyes met.

The oppressive atmosphere was instantly replaced by a sense of intimacy.

Ying Sisi lowered her gaze, her ears turning crimson. “I… I didn’t mean to.”

Her voice was soft, laced with a hint of panic.

Her slender, white hands rested on his shoulders, and the warmth of her breath, lingering on his face, tickled him, making his heart flutter.

The anger and resentment that had been bottled up in Qin Yanci’s chest seemed to vanish in an instant.

Then came a surge of rapid heartbeat.

He stared at her, his hand unconsciously reaching towards her waist.

Ying Sisi reacted before he could, rising to her feet, flustered. “The food… needs to be eaten while it’s hot.”

Qin Yanci was momentarily stunned. He sat back down at the table, and a light clink echoed from the table.

A cup of steaming water had appeared.

He looked at her, then at the teacup.

His heart felt warm and unusually calm.

His tone softened. “Mother said our wedding date is set for the fifteenth of the first lunar month. We’ll be busy preparing for the wedding after the New Year, and there are only a few days left before the New Year. I plan to go to the street office this afternoon to get my identity certificate and then ask someone to help us get our marriage license tomorrow. What do you think?”

A sense of alarm went off in Ying Sisi’s heart.

A marriage license?

Was this a request for her opinion or a notification?

The educated youth had said that getting a marriage certificate in the city made you a legitimate couple.

She hadn’t gotten to know him well yet.

Could she marry him?

There seemed to be no reason to refuse.

“Let me go home and prepare,” Ying Sisi said, intending to leave immediately.

Because she had agreed to warm his bed during their first meeting and had accidentally flirted with him, his gaze had changed.

He was like a wolf eyeing its prey.

If she stayed any longer, he would surely do something else.

Even though they would be getting married tomorrow, today they were still unmarried.

Being too intimate was against the rules.

Before he could speak, she rose to her feet and headed towards the main house to greet the rest of the Qin family.

As she reached the door, she heard Lu Yuechun’s anxious voice coming from inside. “Mom, it’s not that I’m worried about your money, but I think it’s more lively to live together and we can look after each other.

If we live separately, we’ll all be busy with our own lives and probably won’t see each other for a week. Yanci has been away from home for ten years; don’t you want to see him more? Qin Jin, do you think I’m right?”

Qin Jin, Qin Yanci’s older brother, agreed. “If we live separately, the neighbors will surely gossip.”

“Sigh, he said he won’t buy a new house, so he won’t get married.”

“Do you believe him? I don’t. Sisi is a recognized beauty; which man wouldn’t want her? Yanci is also in his prime, so his heart must be itching. Maybe while we’re gone, they’ll already be together. They’ll surely cherish each other once they’re together. How about we make a bet? Let’s bet that Yanci won’t be able to hold out until the New Year and will ask you to arrange his marriage.”

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 01

Chapter 01: Time Travel Needs Ritual They say that if you set the air conditioner to 16 degrees Celsius, light a candle, put an alarm clock in front of the candle, then sleep under a warm air conditioner blanket, and chant "Heaven and Earth are boundless, the cosmos is turned upside down," you can time travel?   Chen Fan came out of the bathroom after a drunken shower, remembering what his colleague, who was known for his mysterious ways and constantly mentioning the I Ching and esoteric arts (and nicknamed "Daoist"), had said during a drinking session.   Thinking about how he had been in an orphanage since he was 10 years old, and how he had only managed to get through college thanks to part-time jobs and his parents' inheritance, and how he had been working for years but still just a struggling wage earner renting a place in a suburban village, without any family support, it seemed like time traveling wouldn't be too bad. It wouldn't be worse than his...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 13

Chapter 13: You Have a New Order Of course, Chen Fan wouldn't argue with Keeper Huang. He thanked him profusely. He had brought a big bag of sweet potatoes, free of charge, how could he not express his gratitude? After seeing Keeper Huang off, he really didn't dare close the door again, so he just left the door slightly ajar, at least that would provide some cover. He went back into the room. He didn't even touch the tea he poured for Captain Yang. He picked it up and felt it. The temperature was just right, so he took a big gulp. It tasted pretty good, what kind of tea is this? He stood up and lifted the lid of the teapot. He saw two large leaves floating inside, about the size of a baby's palm. It turned out to be “ one-horse tea ”. “One-horse tea” refers to a type of tea where a single leaf can be used to make a pot of tea. Some places also call it “ three-horse tea ”. These leaves are not actually tea leaves, but they are harvested from fresh “ HuBei Hawthorn ” lea...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 15

Chapter 15: Acquiring a New Skill   Back in his room, Chen Fan continued reading, but after a while, he couldn't focus. His mind was filled with what Jiang Lili had just said.   The chickens were eaten, and they don't raise pigs.   Everyone else went home for the New Year, and they didn't leave anything good for that girl?   That's too much!   After a while, Chen Fan couldn't sit still, so he put down the book, got up and walked out.   He went to Jiang Lili's door and greeted her, "Hey, Xiao Jiang."   Jiang Lili immediately came over, "What is it?"   She paused, a strange look flashed in her eyes. She whispered, "Chen... Chen Fan, I want to ask you something."   Chen Fan was about to speak, but when he heard her say this, he smiled, "Ask away."   Jiang Lili curiously looked at him, "How old are you this year?"   Chen Fan blinked, guessing what she meant, and said, "Eighteen."   Sixteen, almost sevente...
