Flash Marriage to a Crazy Rich Husband: I Shocked the World! - Chapter 54

Chapter 54: Enough to Make Her Laugh for Years

Ying Sisi replied slowly, “You tell me.”

“Accompany your dad and me to find Yuwei.”

“What role would I play?”  Sisi had a gut feeling that Song Hanmei was up to no good.

“Be a mediator.  You're about the same age as Yuwei.  She'll probably listen to you a little bit.  You won't still be holding a grudge at this point, will you?”  Song Hanmei's reasoning was airtight and also used reverse psychology.

Sisi had no way to refuse, so she just hummed.

But she was determined not to say anything.

Song Hanmei set off. The neighbors by the roadside had dispersed by now, but Li Yuwei's business had spread throughout the streets.

She would meet a random neighbor on the street, and the person would say, “Looking for Yuwei?  Is your Yuwei under a spell?”

“Oh, what a good girl.  Why did she have to fall for such a sleazy guy?  He brought two chickens to propose.  What was he thinking?”

Song Hanmei's face was burning.  Her heart ached.

She had never been so humiliated in her life.

It must have been the drug.

Sisi took the drug, diluted it, and made them drink it.

Her daughter was uncomfortable from the drug and ran into Feng Erge.  She was…

Unfortunately, she had no proof.

Besides, Sisi also seemed like she had been bullied yesterday. She wasn't sure.

Sisi hid her mouth in her scarf and grinned, secretly delighted.  Hahaha…

This was enough to make her laugh for years.

Li Junlu interrupted. “Auntie, we have to go.  We'll just leave it at that.”

“Alright.  See you later!”

The three of them went to the Feng family's house. The door was closed.

The large courtyard housed several families.  There was everything in the courtyard, and it was messy.

As soon as they arrived, people looked at them. Some people recognized Song Hanmei and smiled meaningfully as they greeted her.  “Looking for your daughter?”

Song Hanmei hummed vaguely.

“Yesterday, mother Feng said she wanted to become your in-laws. I didn't believe her.  I said Yuwei's family is so well-off, how could she possibly fall for your son?”

"…" Kids are stupid.  And adults are even stupider.”  Song Hanmei secretly cursed mother Feng for being sneaky.

She spread private matters all over the place.

She has no manners!

Li Junlu said, “Sister, is anyone home?”

“They're home.”

Song Hanmei went to the door and knocked. “Yuwei.”

The large courtyard didn't have heating.  Li Yuwei was cold, so she huddled under a blanket.

She was so regretful.  She shouldn't have followed them here.

When she heard Song Hanmei's voice, she felt sorry for herself. “Mom, why did you come?  Feng Erge, open the door.”

Feng Shuangxi was very fond of Li Yuwei and would do anything she said.

He immediately unlocked the door.

Song Hanmei deliberately moved to the side, so Feng Shuangxi could see Sisi's beauty at a glance.

Feng Shuangxi did notice her and froze for a moment before greeting them. “Dad, Mom, why did you come?”

“Who are you calling Dad and Mom?”  Li Junlu scolded.

Song Hanmei went into the room and saw Li Yuwei, who was shivering. She was both angry and heartbroken for her.  “Yuwei, come home.”

“Not unless you agree to my marriage with Feng Erge.”

“We can talk about that later.  Come home with me now.”

Li Yuwei knew she had won. “Okay, but I have a few words to say to Feng Erge.”

Song Hanmei considered it for a moment. “Okay.  Hurry up.”

Li Junlu couldn't accept Song Hanmei's way of dealing with things.  After leaving the room, he roared with suppressed anger, “How could you agree to this?!”

“This is just a temporary solution.”

Li Junlu finally calmed down. After a long time, he said, “Sisi, hurry up and urge your sister.”

Ying Sisi could only knock on the door. “Yuwei, are you done talking?  It's time to go.”

“What does it have to do with you?”

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 32

Chapter 32: Time to Earn Work Points     Chen Fan slept under the covers for who knows how long. When he woke up, the effects of the alcohol had worn off.   He was tempted to stay huddled in the covers, but he worried about not being able to sleep at night. Also, he didn't know what time it was or if it was time to make dinner, so he got out of bed and put on his clothes.   Walking out of the room, he looked up at the sky. The sky was still gloomy, and a flock of birds flew by. They were too far away for him to see what kind of birds they were, but they weren't pigeons.   Actually, even if you put the birds in front of him, he might not recognize them. He only knew sparrows, pigeons, parrots, magpies, cuckoos, owls, and egrets. He wasn't very familiar with other birds.   He stretched and walked towards Jiang Lili's room, wanting to ask her if she knew the time.   There wasn't even a clock here, which was really inconvenient. He didn't know how t...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 02

Chapter 02: Tell the Truth   Seeing that Chen Fan refused to cooperate, Captain Yang became angry. He slammed his hand on the table and shouted to the crowd outside, "Lao San, go get Constable Zhu here."   Chen Fan shrank his neck, feeling guilty and helpless. What a mess!   Captain Yang then remained silent, staring at him with a stern look, hoping to break his psychological defenses and make him confess his identity.   Twenty minutes later, a bicycle bell rang. The villagers who had been crowding around the doorway gossiping quickly cleared a path. A man wearing a cap and a navy blue police uniform walked in.   Before he even entered the room, his voice reached them, "Captain Yang, what's going on?"   Captain Yang stood up, took out a cigarette and offered him one, then used a match to light it for him. He also lit one for himself, then motioned for the man to sit at the table before pointing at Chen Fan and saying, "Yesterday, while we were going to the ...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 19

Chapter 19: New Skill     Before Jiang Lili could speak, he dashed out.   This time, he didn't take the main road, but took the small path. Like a diligent bee, he brought back ten more large soft-shelled turtles.   Although they weren't as big as the first one he brought back, they were all as big as a washbasin. Decades later, these would sell for 1000 yuan per jin, but now he could pick them up at will.   By this time, Jiang Lili had already boiled the water. She also took out the large iron pot that was used for cooking pig feed which was hidden on the wooden rack in the pigsty. She carefully cleaned it with straw and placed it on the simple stove next to the pigsty.   Next, it was Chen Fan's turn to perform.   First, he used a cotton stalk to keep the soft-shelled turtle's mouth busy, pulled out its head, and before it knew, he had quickly cut it in half. The turtle's blood gushed out.   He didn't waste the turtle's blood, collecti...
