Flash Marriage to a Crazy Rich Husband: I Shocked the World! - Chapter 50

 Chapter 50: Confession

Ying Sisi had anticipated that Song Hanmei would be suspicious when she sobered up, so she had prepared a countermeasure. “I...  Waaah...” She covered her face and ran back to her room.  She pretended to cry while tearing open the red envelope father Qin had given her.

She pulled out two brand new ten yuan bills.

She was so happy that she almost lost her voice.

“Waaah…” My father-in-law is really so generous.

Through the wall, Song Hanmei was confused.  She looked at Sisi's state and wondered if she had taken the drug too?

She decided to go to the Qin family tomorrow and personally sound out Qin Yanci.

If he said Sisi didn't go to see him.

Then there would be a good show.

She was thinking about this when Li Yuwei came in, beaming.

“Mom, I'm back.”

Song Hanmei pulled Li Yuwei into the bedroom.  “Yuwei, did you give Sisi the powder?”

“Isn't it with you?”

“It's gone!  Oh my goodness!  Oh, dear heavens.”  Song Hanmei patted her thighs in distress. She was embarrassed to mention the absurdity between her and Li Junlu.  “I suspect Sisi took the drug.  If your dad finds out, we're doomed.”

Li Yuwei's mind was completely on Feng Shuangxi right now.  She had been considering it for a long time and decided to confess.  “Mom, I have to tell you something.”

She nervously told Song Hanmei about her love affair with Feng Shuangxi.

Song Hanmei felt dizzy. “You're dating that good-for-nothing Feng?  Did you eat that powder today? Have you lost your mind? It must have been Sisi who took it and gave it to you!” She jumped up and was about to go find Sisi to settle the score.

But Li Yuwei stopped her. “Mom, I'm serious.  Don't look at Feng Shuangxi now. He's going to be successful in the future.”

Song Hanmei stomped her foot. “Are you blind?  He's a good-for-nothing. How could he be successful?  His family is poor, too.  If you date him, he can't even afford a decent wedding for you. Do you believe that?”

“We can make up for it later when he has money.”

Song Hanmei held her head.  “Oh my god!  Let's just assume Feng is going to be successful in the future.  But look at all those successful men's original wives.  They all end up miserable.  Don't talk about those far away. Let's just look at the recent ones.  Take your dad, for example.  As soon as he came back to the city, he cut off all contact with his original wife.”

“That's because Sisi's mom wasn't as capable as you.  Mom, trust me. I'm not wrong about this.  Feng Shuangxi is definitely talented.”

Song Hanmei rolled her eyes. “Definitely, definitely?  You're just a kid. What do you know?  I can't agree to this.”

“You can't agree, but it's done.  We already…  you know.”

“What?” Song Hanmei jumped up, “Oh my god!  I can't take it anymore.”  She staggered backwards and fainted.

Li Yuwei was so scared that she cried for help.

After a long time, Li Junlu came in, looking weary. “What's going on?”

When Li Yuwei saw Song Hanmei's condition, she didn't dare tell Li Junlu about Feng Shuangxi.  “I don't know.  We were just talking, and she suddenly fainted.”

Li Junlu thought Song Hanmei's fainting had something to do with him.  He thought to himself.  This old woman is always causing trouble.  Why is she not doing well today?  Did I overdo it?

He calmly said, “It's okay. She'll be fine after a little rest.”

“We should go to the hospital.” Li Yuwei was a little worried.

Li Junlu didn't want to make a fuss.  Besides, this was a private matter.  What would he say if the doctor asked him? “No need.”  He wanted to rest.  He went back to his room and went to bed.

Li Yuwei was anxious.  She could only knock on Sisi's door and whispered, “Sister, Mom fainted.  Can you go to the hospital with me?”

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 01

Chapter 01: Time Travel Needs Ritual They say that if you set the air conditioner to 16 degrees Celsius, light a candle, put an alarm clock in front of the candle, then sleep under a warm air conditioner blanket, and chant "Heaven and Earth are boundless, the cosmos is turned upside down," you can time travel?   Chen Fan came out of the bathroom after a drunken shower, remembering what his colleague, who was known for his mysterious ways and constantly mentioning the I Ching and esoteric arts (and nicknamed "Daoist"), had said during a drinking session.   Thinking about how he had been in an orphanage since he was 10 years old, and how he had only managed to get through college thanks to part-time jobs and his parents' inheritance, and how he had been working for years but still just a struggling wage earner renting a place in a suburban village, without any family support, it seemed like time traveling wouldn't be too bad. It wouldn't be worse than his...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 13

Chapter 13: You Have a New Order Of course, Chen Fan wouldn't argue with Keeper Huang. He thanked him profusely. He had brought a big bag of sweet potatoes, free of charge, how could he not express his gratitude? After seeing Keeper Huang off, he really didn't dare close the door again, so he just left the door slightly ajar, at least that would provide some cover. He went back into the room. He didn't even touch the tea he poured for Captain Yang. He picked it up and felt it. The temperature was just right, so he took a big gulp. It tasted pretty good, what kind of tea is this? He stood up and lifted the lid of the teapot. He saw two large leaves floating inside, about the size of a baby's palm. It turned out to be “ one-horse tea ”. “One-horse tea” refers to a type of tea where a single leaf can be used to make a pot of tea. Some places also call it “ three-horse tea ”. These leaves are not actually tea leaves, but they are harvested from fresh “ HuBei Hawthorn ” lea...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 15

Chapter 15: Acquiring a New Skill   Back in his room, Chen Fan continued reading, but after a while, he couldn't focus. His mind was filled with what Jiang Lili had just said.   The chickens were eaten, and they don't raise pigs.   Everyone else went home for the New Year, and they didn't leave anything good for that girl?   That's too much!   After a while, Chen Fan couldn't sit still, so he put down the book, got up and walked out.   He went to Jiang Lili's door and greeted her, "Hey, Xiao Jiang."   Jiang Lili immediately came over, "What is it?"   She paused, a strange look flashed in her eyes. She whispered, "Chen... Chen Fan, I want to ask you something."   Chen Fan was about to speak, but when he heard her say this, he smiled, "Ask away."   Jiang Lili curiously looked at him, "How old are you this year?"   Chen Fan blinked, guessing what she meant, and said, "Eighteen."   Sixteen, almost sevente...
