Flash Marriage to a Crazy Rich Husband: I Shocked the World! - Chapter 70

 Chapter 70: Frustration

The atmosphere was tense for a moment.

To lighten the mood, Li Junlu smiled and said, “Hanmei, it's not too early.  Make some cold dishes.  Later, I'll have a drink with Yanci. Yanci, can you drink?”

Qin Yanci smiled like a warm spring breeze.  “I'm not a good drinker.”

Song Hanmei got up and said, “Yuwei, come with me and help me.”

As soon as Li Yuwei entered the kitchen, Song Hanmei said coldly, “Have you made up with Feng Erge?”

“Mom, he has a name.  Feng Shuangxi. You should stop looking down on him.  He'll be unhappy.” Li Yuwei couldn't stand her parents looking down on Feng Shuangxi.

Song Hanmei was still angry at Qin Yanci.  Now, Li Yuwei is fanning the flames.  “You haven't even married him yet, and you're already acting subservient. What are you doing to control a man?  You'll regret this!”

“I won't.  He's actually a good person.  Mom, just wait and see. I'll live a good life in the future.”

Song Hanmei: "…"

After a long time, Li Yuwei said, “Mom, did you find that bag of medicine you had before?  Qin Yanci is here, it's the perfect time to give him some.”

“What kind of medicine are you giving me?”  Qin Yanci pushed open the kitchen door.  He had a smile on his face, but his eyes were cold. “Auntie, from what you said, you prepared medicine for me a long time ago, waiting for me to take it?”

Song Hanmei and Li Yuwei were both shocked. When did he start listening?

Song Hanmei was experienced and quickly came up with an excuse.  “It's for keeping warm.”

“Really?  Your family uses medicine to keep warm?  I've learned something new.”

Song Hanmei's face flushed.  “You misunderstood.”

“I heard it with my own ears. I don't dare eat your food.” Qin Yanci went back to the room and mentioned it to Li Junlu.

Li Junlu thought it was ridiculous.  “Yanci, did you hear wrong?”

Song Hanmei also explained.  “You heard wrong. I was going to make ginger tea for him to keep warm.  It's medicine too, isn't it?”

“Is that right?  Maybe I really heard wrong. Sigh, when I was working on the farm and driving the tractor, the sound was too loud.  It damaged my ears. Auntie, please be understanding.”  Qin Yanci said humbly.

Song Hanmei was extremely frustrated.

This is great.

If he eats something bad here in the future, it will be her fault.

Why did he become so difficult to deal with?

Sisi was amused. His mouth is really sharp these past two days.  He can shut people up with just a few words.

Song Hanmei was no match for him at all.  Li Yuwei was even less capable of fighting back.  She had been in her room since she returned from the kitchen.

Sisi went into the kitchen to help cook.  First, she wanted to keep an eye on Song Hanmei's actions. Second, she wanted to make more delicious food for Qin Yanci.

When she was frying fish,

Song Hanmei said, “After the New Year, we won't have much good stuff left.  You can't eat like this.  You don't give a penny back to the family, and you keep taking things out.  Yesterday, I saw you buy a chicken and a piece of pork belly.  You don't think of your parents.  You just use them to curry favor with outsiders.”

“It's my own money.” Sisi emphasized.

“You have money?” Song Hanmei's tone was exaggerated. “Where did you get the money?  The money that Qin's parents gave you for the wedding?  Your dad also gave Yanci thirty yuan.  It's equivalent to your share.  You bought it with your dad's red envelope.”

Sisi said, “That's my dad's business.  It's a courtesy between him and my father-in-law. It has nothing to do with me.”

“You're talking nonsense.  Your dad would be right to call you an ungrateful child.  If it weren't for your dad, where would you be?  A lamb kneels to its mother, a crow feeds its parents.  You should repay your parents' kindness for a lifetime.” Song Hanmei said as a matter of course.

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 16

Chapter 16: Adding Fuel to the Fire     He summoned the character panel, and the contents had indeed changed. It's real?   Is this skill legitimate?   Chen Fan looked at the big yellow dog that was still barking. Now the dog's barking sounded different to him.   "Scram." "Scram." "Scram."   Oh, Chen Fan understood. It was telling him to go away.   He hesitated for two seconds, then tentatively barked at the dog twice, "Woof woof."   Hmm?   The big yellow dog was immediately stunned.   He said he wouldn't leave?   After realizing this, the dog got angry. Its intelligence, equivalent to a human child of six or seven years old, didn't allow for much complex thought.  I told him to leave, but he wouldn't. How can I let him get away with this? If I let him go, will the master let me go?   It immediately lowered its body, preparing to attack.   Chen Fan saw this, and quickly barked again, "Woof woof."   The bi...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 24

Translator's Notes: I will be updating this to 2 chapters/week. It's for those few readers who still keep reading this. Enjoy reading!!!   2/2 Chapter 24: A Long Day     In any case, improving physical fitness is a good thing.   If only I could increase my strength someday. With only 5 points of strength, I'm practically "too weak to truss a chicken." In this production team where women are as strong as men and men are as strong as donkeys, it makes it hard for a grown man to hold his head high.   Chen Fan sat happily on the chair, watching Jiang Lili busy herself, when he suddenly thought of a question. "Hey, Xiao Jiang, isn't this place called Lujiawan? How come I haven't heard of anyone with the surname Lu?"   Generally speaking, places named after surnames usually have a large clan with that surname, but today he had listened for half a day and heard people with the surnames Yang, Liu, and Huang. There was also a barefoot doctor with the surn...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 31

Chapter 31: Promote It a Little     Chen Fan watched Jiang Lili laboriously pulling at the cotton cloth, and recalling her words, he couldn't help but twitch his lips slightly.   That's right, labor is cheap these days, but goods are valuable, especially industrial products.   Things like those hard plastic sandals that nobody wanted in later generations were quite valuable these days, costing several yuan a pair.   And then there were the "national hit" Warrior (回力鞋) shoes of the 70s, costing 8 to 10 yuan a pair. The larger the size, the more expensive they are. The cheapest size 38s were 8.87 yuan, while the most expensive size 43s were 10.02 yuan. That was equivalent to half a month's net income for a strong laborer in Team 6 of Lujiawan this year.   If it were leather shoes, they would be even more ridiculously expensive.   So, ordinary families in this era were still accustomed to making their own shoes or buying the cheapest cloth shoes. ...
