Chapter 33: Subdue
Ying Sisi didn't even spare a glance at the other person and walked into the study. She closed the door and locked it.
She hadn't been sitting there long when there was a knock on the door.
“Girl.” It was Aunt Zeng's voice.
Ying Sisi didn't answer.
Aunt Zeng rolled her eyes, thinking, I don't believe you're not sleeping. She went back to Hu Niu and whispered to him.
Hu Niu's eyes lit up, then he worriedly said, “But she's engaged. Will her fiancé allow this?”
“Just say you're interested in her or not.”
“Of course I'm interested. I like both sisters.”
Aunt Zeng laughed. “You stinky boy, you're dreaming. I'll go turn off the light first. Go sleep in her room. When she comes back, you'll figure it out, okay?”
Hu Niu was both excited and afraid. “Mom, what if she resists, shouts, and attracts people outside? Will I be arrested as a hooligan?”
“She's a woman of considerable stature, how could she exhibit something as embarrassing as raising her voice? Don't worry. Just act like you're a new groom. You know what to do, right?” Aunt Zeng winked with a smile.
“How could I not?”

Ying Sisi stayed up late to finish sewing the clothes. She was so tired that she fell asleep on the table. When she woke up, her back and waist were aching.
She was about to go back to her room to rest.
She turned on the light in the living room and her gaze fell involuntarily on Hu Niu's mat on the floor.
She saw a small foot sticking out from the covers.
She immediately thought of the “great-aunt” that Song Hanmei asked her to call.
Aunt had bound feet.
Aunt is sleeping here, and Hu Niu is sleeping in her room?
If she goes directly back to her room, wouldn't she be sleeping with Hu Niu?
Doesn't Aunt know the consequences?
So, Aunt did it on purpose. This makes sense. It also explains why she was so bold to order her to make clothes.
Because she was planning to make her live with Hu Niu all along.
Then, Aunt will purposely make a scene.
She will make it known to everyone.
The Qin family definitely won't want a daughter-in-law with a bad reputation.
She'll have to marry Hu Niu.
She is trying to ruin her!
She forces herself to calm down.

A moment later, she nonchalantly turns off the light.
After her eyes adjust to the darkness, she goes back to her study and finds a rope. She goes to the bathroom to get a towel.
After mentally rehearsing countless ways to subdue Aunt Zeng, she encourages herself.
Ying Sisi, you can do this.
You can definitely subdue Aunt Zeng and make her face the consequences of her actions.
With courage in her heart, Ying Sisi endures the pain in her ankle. She dashes forward, climbs on top of Aunt Zeng, and tightly squeezes her neck.
Aunt Zeng had been waiting for Ying Sisi to fall asleep.
Now, she's suddenly awakened. She can't breathe and struggles desperately.
Ying Sisi observes the strength of her struggles. When it weakens, she stuffs the towel in her mouth and quickly ties her hands and feet.
She's used to doing farm work.
She's very strong. She picks up Aunt Zeng and takes her to the inner room.
The curtains in the room are drawn, making it very dark. But she has excellent hearing and can tell that Hu Niu is sleeping soundly. She puts Aunt Zeng on top of him.
Then she hides out of the room and hobbles back to her study.
She sits down and realizes that she's sweating. Even her hair is wet.
Her ankle hurts so much.
She can only rub it gently to ease the pain.
After a long time, a man's scream pierces the roof.
“Ah, ah, ah, my mom, my mom!”
Song Hanmei had been waiting for a long time, and had unconsciously fallen asleep. Now she has woken up and rushes into Ying Sisi's room. She's about to scream when she sees the mother and son. She's completely dumbfounded.
Where's Ying Sisi?
She turns her head. Ying Sisi walks out of the study, sleepy-eyed. “What's going on?”
Li Yuwei also comes out. “Mom, who is it? Are you slaughtering a pig in the middle of the night?”
