Chapter 34: Playing by Different Rules
Song Hanmei was speechless for a long time.
She had spent the whole night planning, determined to get Ying Sisi to marry Feng Shuangxi. This would kill her own daughter's hopes while also getting back at Ying Sisi, achieving two goals at once.

Aunt Zeng turns pale. She uncontrollably trembles. Her mouth opens wide, but she can't speak.
Hu Niu's anger flares up. “Mom was tied up just now. Someone stuffed something in her mouth and put her next to me.” He thought it was Li Yuwei, the older daughter.

Ying Sisi grabs onto the main point. “Tied up? Who could tie her up? And put her next to you with her mouth stuffed? Wait a minute, great-aunt was already staying in my room. If someone tied her up and put her next to you, it should be in the living room. Why would it be in my room? Yuwei, you have the highest education level in our family. What do you think?”
Li Yuwei was sleeping soundly when she was woken up. She's forced to watch this show. She's full of frustration. “What's there to analyze? The door is locked. Who could get in? It's the New Year. Ying Sisi was originally planning to use Li Yuwei's mouth to yell about Aunt Zeng and Hu Niu staying in her room, but Li Yuwei doesn't play by the rules. She steers the topic towards the thief.

Ying Sisi thinks for a moment. A sly smile appears on her lips. “Aunt, Yuwei's things are missing. You don't even bother to help look for them. Why are you contradicting her?”
Li Yuwei's eyes flash with anger. She immediately starts searching. “Did you take it?”
“Yuwei, don't do this. I didn't.” Hu Xiaoqian dodges around.
Li Yuwei forcefully flips through her pockets.
Ying Sisi remembers how people in her hometown hide money in their shoes. She quickly reminds Li Yuwei, seizing the opportunity to step forward and hug Hu Xiaoqian from behind. “Yuwei, you can check in her shoes.”
