Flash Marriage to a Crazy Rich Husband: I Shocked the World! - Chapter 35

 Chapter 35: Stirring Up Trouble

Li Yuwei grabbed Hu Xiaoqian's shoe, pulling it off.  A round ring rolled out onto the floor, the very one that had been stolen.

“You think you can hide it from me? You're my aunt, and you stole from me?! I can't believe you! I'll fight you!” Li Yuwei was fuming, yanking on Hu Xiaoqian's hair.

At first, Hu Xiaoqian just let Li Yuwei scream and shout, but she couldn't take it anymore.  It was getting a little too intense! When Li Yuwei started really going for her, Hu Xiaoqian fought back.  After all, she was used to hard work, unlike Li Yuwei, who was used to a life of luxury. She quickly gained the upper hand and pinned Li Yuwei to the ground.

Song Hanmei tried to pull them apart, but it was too late!  Chaos reigned!

Sisi, seeing her chance, ran into the kitchen, grabbed a pot lid and a spatula, flung open the door, and stood in the doorway banging with all her might.

“Help! Help!  Yuwei and her aunt are fighting!”

Hearing the noise, Song Hanmei almost fainted.

This little rascal!  She could have easily settled this behind closed doors, but she had to make a big scene, stirring up trouble for everyone!

The neighbors came running in, some trying to break up the fight, others just eager to see the drama unfold.

Li Yuwei, who always presented herself in a polished way, was now a mess.  She was crying and telling everyone about the situation:  “My mom kindly offered to let my great-aunt and her son and daughter to stay with us, but then they made so much noise in the middle of the night!  It woke up the whole family!  And then this aunt stole my gold ring and attacked me!  I've never seen someone doing such inappropriate things!”

Sisi nodded in agreement.  She was a real wordsmith!  “Doing inappropriate” was such a perfect choice of word!

The neighbors' looks towards Aunt Zeng and Hu Niu were no longer the same. Even though they were now dressed properly, everyone's imaginations were running wild.

“Going into your niece's room on New Year's Eve, and doing all that...shameless.”

“Hanmei, you're too trusting!  You let strangers into your home!  You're lucky they didn't do anything worse!”

“Just listening to them makes my hair stand on end!”

Seeing that they weren't getting to the real point, Sisi pretended to be confused and added:  “My great-aunt and I share a room, and my uncle is sleeping in the living room!  But he shouldn't have been in my room!  Luckily, I was in my study making clothes.  If I had been in the bedroom, there would have been one more person involved!”

“Maybe your great-aunt deliberately put your uncle in your room?” One of the neighbors was quick to react.

“What?” Sisi covered her mouth, her eyes immediately welling up. “But I don't even know my great-aunt!  My mom brought them here!”

She deliberately left it at that, giving everyone room to fill in the blanks.

They looked at each other,  and they all knew what was really going on.

The neighbors exchanged knowing glances, convinced that it must be Song Hanmei who was behind all this. They thought she had seen Qin Yanci, a handsome man, and regretted her previous decision to let Sisi be betrothed to him.

They believed that she was trying to create trouble for Sisi to make way for Li Yuwei.

The situation spiraled out of control.  Song Hanmei was getting frantic, and the more she tried to explain, the less sense it made.  She was sweating and her lips were pale.  She couldn't take it anymore, so she slammed her hand on her leg, exclaiming: “Oh my god, you little rascal, you're such a troublemaker!  How could I know anything about what they did?  They're my aunt and cousin,  and now they're being accused of all these things!  You two, say something!”

Aunt Zeng was too shocked to speak.

“I... I...”  Hu Niu stammered, unable to articulate a coherent response.

He dared not speak.  The more he said, the more likely he was to give away his true intentions.  And if he angered everyone, they might accuse him of being a rogue and drag him through the streets!

What if they dragged him through the streets?

Transmigrated to a Prehistoric Tribe to Farm and Build Infrastructure - Chapter 01

Chapter 01: Male, Will You Marry Me?   This wasn't a dilapidated shack?!   Changxia stared at the 50-60 square-foot earth-pit tent. Old animal hides were draped over branches, bound together with vines – simple and rustic. Changxia’s lips twitched uncontrollably; she could only feel speechless. The tribesmen who had brought her here had already left.   She put down her backpack, placing her belongings to the side, not hurrying to begin work.   There was no mistake; this would be her home for the rest of her life.   After silently appreciating it for a moment, Changxia turned to look at Chen Rong behind her. His face was pale, his gait weak and unsteady. One glance revealed his poor health.   “You stay outside, I’ll go in and clean up alone,” Changxia said.   “It’s fine, let me come in with you. This animal den hasn’t been lived in for a long time. Besides insects and ants, we need to check if the roof is rotting,” Chen Rong smiled slightly, e...

Flash Marriage to a Crazy Rich Husband: I Shocked the World! - Chapter 38

Chapter 38: Worth a Thousand Gold       The door was unlocked.   Sisi had gotten up and was washing her face, applying face oil, when she heard someone calling “Wife” outside.   She opened the door to find Qin Yanci standing there.   Sisi's face lit up, and she greeted him sweetly, “A-Ci, what brings you here? Come in.”   Qin Yanci whispered, “It's about the stamps.”   “You traded them for money?” Sisi waited expectantly for his answer.   Qin Yanci said, “I wouldn't trade them without your consent.”   Sisi's heart skipped a beat. Being respected felt so good. She was eager to know the stamps' value. “How much are they worth?”   “Ten yuan.”   Sisi gasped in astonishment. Ten yuan? Over a hundred stamps, worth a thousand gold?   She was rich!   With this money, she could indulge in her buying and selling ventures.   She excitedly grabbed his hand. “Where did you trade them?”   Qin Yanci lowere...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 13

Chapter 13: You Have a New Order Of course, Chen Fan wouldn't argue with Keeper Huang. He thanked him profusely. He had brought a big bag of sweet potatoes, free of charge, how could he not express his gratitude? After seeing Keeper Huang off, he really didn't dare close the door again, so he just left the door slightly ajar, at least that would provide some cover. He went back into the room. He didn't even touch the tea he poured for Captain Yang. He picked it up and felt it. The temperature was just right, so he took a big gulp. It tasted pretty good, what kind of tea is this? He stood up and lifted the lid of the teapot. He saw two large leaves floating inside, about the size of a baby's palm. It turned out to be “ one-horse tea ”. “One-horse tea” refers to a type of tea where a single leaf can be used to make a pot of tea. Some places also call it “ three-horse tea ”. These leaves are not actually tea leaves, but they are harvested from fresh “ HuBei Hawthorn ” lea...
