Chapter 77: Catching Snakes
The two of them bundled up and set off.
When they were near the edge of the woods, Sisi reminded him of the dangers inside.
Qin Yanci said, “The ground eats people. Is there a swamp in this forest?”
“What's a swamp?”
Qin Yanci explained and added how to save yourself if you fall into a swamp.
Sisi listened carefully. “You're pretty experienced.”
“I read it in a book. I've never seen one in person.” Qin Yanci said, “The geography of Beijing should not have swamps that eat people. Let's go in and take a look.”
You Sisi was speechless. It was like listening to a lecture.
Deep in the forest, the trees were green and shady. The light was bright. There was a faint floral scent in the air.
Qin Yanci was secretly surprised. His parents have lived in Beijing for half their lives and have probably never seen a place like this.

“It's my responsibility to support the family. Now you're bearing part of it. I should take over the other part.” Qin Yanci said.
Sisi felt warm inside. “Okay, I'll fish for you to eat.”
“Okay.”
After casting his line, Sisi turned her head to look at him.
His face was cold. His slender figure was reflected in the water, rippling with the waves.
Qin Yanci looked up, meeting her gaze. Staring at him? “Wife—”
“Be careful!” Sisi's face changed drastically. She grabbed the pole beside her, ran to his side, and quickly picked up a flower snake and threw it away. The snake fell to the ground, twisting and wriggling.
Qin Yanci also came ashore.
He grabbed the pole from her hand and was about to hit the snake's seven inches when Sisi stopped him. “That's a flower snake. It's not poisonous. People in my area say that where there's a flower snake, there are no poisonous snakes for ten miles. It's good. Let it go.” She turned the snake's body over.
The snake quickly slithered away.
The force in Qin Yanci's hand also loosened. “You know quite a lot.”
Sisi smiled brightly. “My grandpa knows how to catch snakes. I learned a little bit from him.” If he knew she had eaten snakes, he probably wouldn't kiss her. “Let's continue. Let's finish by evening.”
“Okay.” Qin Yanci went back into the water. He paused and said, “Dad said that you made fish soup for me yesterday at the family housing complex to replenish my body? Why didn't you come later?” It's a good thing he didn't go. Otherwise, he would have met that guy.
He didn't want her to be taken advantage of.
Sisi nodded. “Yes. I met Li Yuwei's boyfriend halfway and was delayed.” She talked about Li Yuwei and Feng Shuangxi's happy event. “Those two people were originally worlds apart. It's amazing that they could get together. Do you think it's strange? I even suspect Li Yuwei knows how to read fortunes. She probably figured out that Feng Shuangxi would be successful, so she didn't care about the world's opinions.”
Qin Yanci laughed coldly. If she knew how to read fortunes, why didn't she figure out that he's not easy to mess with?
