Flash Marriage to a Crazy Rich Husband: I Shocked the World! - Chapter 76

 Chapter 76: Departure

“I wasn't fooling around with A-Ci.  But even if we were, no one could say anything, because we're married.  You should be worried about Yuwei.” Sisi said.

Li Junlu: "…"  You little brat, you're deliberately poking at my heart!

The next day, before dawn,

Sisi took her tools and left for the place where she found the fish.

She dug two holes in the ground and picked out earthworms from the mud to use as bait.

Soon, she caught two big fish.

It was still early.  She took off her shoes and socks and went to the edge of the shore to pick up a small bucket of snails before leaving.

She arrived at the restaurant.

The fish were frozen solid.

Old Zhao took the fish from Sisi's hand and weighed them.  “They're pretty heavy. Two fish add up to seven or eight catties.  Where did you catch them?”

“In the river.”

Old Zhao smiled. “Did you catch them by the reservoir?  Fish this size are only found there.”

“Yes. I also picked up a half bucket of snails while I was there.”

Old Zhao looked at the wooden bucket on the ground.  His eyes lit up. “This is the season when you can pick up snails.  You're really trying to make fun of me.  The reservoir is frozen.  Even if there are snails, you wouldn't be able to reach them.  Besides, the snails are all buried in the mud in winter.”

Sisi said, “I'm not here for anything else.  I'm going now.”

“Okay, come back tomorrow.  I'll tell you the exact information.”

“Okay.”

Old Zhao said, “Wait.  Keep the snails.  I'll pay you the price of the fish.”  Off-season things are the best sellers.

Sisi's heart skipped a beat.  She tried saying, “Two and a half yuan?”

“What else?”

“Hehe.” Sisi giggled.

The snails were five catties.  She made twelve and a half yuan.

Sisi counted the money twice.  “Thank you.”

“You're welcome.  The fish, if I want them, I'll count today's two fish towards your price.”

“Okay.”  Sisi didn't care. She carried the empty bucket and went to the family housing complex.

The house was still quiet.  She boiled water, went into the bathroom to take a shower, and then went to sleep in the guest room.

She vaguely felt something tickling her face.  She opened her eyes and saw the young man's cold face.

Sisi said happily, “A-Ci, when did you come?”

“Just now.  Have you missed me in the few days we've been apart?”

Sisi was confused.  They've been together for two days.  And his glasses, why isn't he wearing them?  His temperament seems to have changed too.  His eyes were smiling before, but now they are cold again.

She was about to ask when she suddenly remembered what Li Yuwei and his neighbor said about him.  They said he had a problem.

Could it be that his problem is temporary amnesia?

If she speaks rashly, will it stimulate him?

It's like if you wake someone up forcefully while they are sleepwalking, they might go crazy.

It's better to keep quiet.

She smiled.  “Yes.”

The young man gradually moved closer, and his soft kisses fell on her.

Sisi's mind went blank, and her hands instinctively pressed against his chest.  The next second, she was pressed against his head.

After a long time, he released her.

His breath was unsteady. “Wife, you're so beautiful.”

Sisi: "…"  He's calling me “wife” again?

“Want to go out to watch a movie tonight?  I'll send you home after the movie.  Will you come?”

“I will.” Sisi readily agreed.

After that night when she didn't come back home, Li Junlu and Song Hanmei believed that she had done something with Qin Yanci.

It's better to be carefree than to abide by the rules they set.

She thought about it for a moment and then told him about the fish pond she discovered in the suburbs.  “If I want to catch fish and sell them to the restaurant, you have to help me.”

Qin Yanci was interested. “Okay, let's go take a look now?”

“Now? Okay.” Sisi agreed to his request.

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 32

Chapter 32: Time to Earn Work Points     Chen Fan slept under the covers for who knows how long. When he woke up, the effects of the alcohol had worn off.   He was tempted to stay huddled in the covers, but he worried about not being able to sleep at night. Also, he didn't know what time it was or if it was time to make dinner, so he got out of bed and put on his clothes.   Walking out of the room, he looked up at the sky. The sky was still gloomy, and a flock of birds flew by. They were too far away for him to see what kind of birds they were, but they weren't pigeons.   Actually, even if you put the birds in front of him, he might not recognize them. He only knew sparrows, pigeons, parrots, magpies, cuckoos, owls, and egrets. He wasn't very familiar with other birds.   He stretched and walked towards Jiang Lili's room, wanting to ask her if she knew the time.   There wasn't even a clock here, which was really inconvenient. He didn't know how t...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 02

Chapter 02: Tell the Truth   Seeing that Chen Fan refused to cooperate, Captain Yang became angry. He slammed his hand on the table and shouted to the crowd outside, "Lao San, go get Constable Zhu here."   Chen Fan shrank his neck, feeling guilty and helpless. What a mess!   Captain Yang then remained silent, staring at him with a stern look, hoping to break his psychological defenses and make him confess his identity.   Twenty minutes later, a bicycle bell rang. The villagers who had been crowding around the doorway gossiping quickly cleared a path. A man wearing a cap and a navy blue police uniform walked in.   Before he even entered the room, his voice reached them, "Captain Yang, what's going on?"   Captain Yang stood up, took out a cigarette and offered him one, then used a match to light it for him. He also lit one for himself, then motioned for the man to sit at the table before pointing at Chen Fan and saying, "Yesterday, while we were going to the ...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 19

Chapter 19: New Skill     Before Jiang Lili could speak, he dashed out.   This time, he didn't take the main road, but took the small path. Like a diligent bee, he brought back ten more large soft-shelled turtles.   Although they weren't as big as the first one he brought back, they were all as big as a washbasin. Decades later, these would sell for 1000 yuan per jin, but now he could pick them up at will.   By this time, Jiang Lili had already boiled the water. She also took out the large iron pot that was used for cooking pig feed which was hidden on the wooden rack in the pigsty. She carefully cleaned it with straw and placed it on the simple stove next to the pigsty.   Next, it was Chen Fan's turn to perform.   First, he used a cotton stalk to keep the soft-shelled turtle's mouth busy, pulled out its head, and before it knew, he had quickly cut it in half. The turtle's blood gushed out.   He didn't waste the turtle's blood, collecti...
