Flash Marriage to a Crazy Rich Husband: I Shocked the World! - Chapter 63

Chapter 63: Having Fun

After the inscription was finished, Ying Sisi was about to pay when the young man beat her to it.

Ying Sisi was surprised.

When they were eating noodles, he only paid for his own.  She paid for the bus ride.  She thought he only had enough money for food.

Ying Sisi took the sky lantern that had their names and the words “forever together” written on it.  “Let's go watch the dragon dance first.  We'll release the lantern when it's dark, okay?”

“Sisi.”

“Hmm?”  Sisi was a little strange.  This was the first time he had called her by name since they got their marriage certificate.

It was a little strange to not be called “wife” anymore.

“I'll do whatever you say.” he said.

Ying Sisi smiled brightly. The two of them watched the dragon dance, the flower boat, the stilt walkers, and didn't reach the open field to release the sky lantern until late at night.

When the lantern flew into the sky, Sisi silently said,  “If Mom is in heaven, I hope she can see my sky lantern.  Bless Qin Yanci and me, so that our lives will be smooth and happy.”

“Going home?”  Qin Yanci said.

“Home.”

Qin Yanci saw her off. After a while, Sisi said, “It's not too early.  We can stop here.  It's not far, and you need to rest.”

“It's not safe for you, a young lady, to walk home alone at night.”

“It's okay.  I have scissors.  If any hooligan tries to get close, I'll stab him to death.”  Sisi pulled out her scissors and waved them in front of him.

When she dealt with the good-for-nothing, she had a fruit knife.

It wasn't very useful. Scissors are much more convenient.

Qin Yanci's lips curled slightly. “Do you encounter hooligans often?”

“Not really. It's just a precaution.” Sisi put the scissors away. When they reached the crossroads, she told Qin Yanci to stop.  “A-Ci, don't send me anymore.  You won't get enough rest, and that would break my heart.  We'll separate here.”

Break my heart?

Qin Yanci kept chewing on those words.

In the past, there were also female comrades who said that they loved him and would be good to him for life.

Why didn't she say something so beautiful?

“Hmm, be careful.”

He also needed to go home and confirm his wife's business.

That guy lied to him and said he was studying day and night at the guesthouse.

But he was secretly getting married.

Was he afraid that he would get there first?

He wouldn't take the initiative, but that little wife has an outgoing and lively personality.  He doesn't know if she'd take the initiative.

When Sisi got home.

The lights were on in the living room, and Li Junlu was asleep in a chair.  He was obviously waiting for her.

As soon as she entered the door, Li Junlu opened his eyes and looked at the time.  His tone was not accusing.
“Sisi, where were you?  It's so late.”

“It's all because you took me to the hospital.  When I came out, I got lost in the unfamiliar place.  I wandered around until now.  I almost scared myself to death.” Sisi turned the tables on him.

Li Junlu was speechless. He lowered his gaze. “What are you holding?”

“I bought some fruit on the way.  Do you want some?”

“No.  It's too sweet. You should eat less at night.  It's bad for your teeth.”

Ying Sisi snorted. Too sweet?  Bad for my teeth?  Don't you know I could only drink a little sugar water when I was sick?

“You're so noisy.  Are you going to let someone sleep?!” Li Yuwei stormed out of the bedroom.

Ying Sisi looked over.

She usually wears makeup, so you couldn't see her real skin.

Now, she felt like she was pretty dark.  Maybe she had been crying too much.  Her eyes and face were swollen, making her even more repulsive.

Li Junlu was upset with Li Yuwei.  He endured it for a moment because she had just been hurt emotionally.  “Just say a few words to your sister.  It wasn't that loud. Why are you getting so angry?”  He turned to Sisi and told her to go to bed early. Then he went back to his room.

Transmigrated to a Prehistoric Tribe to Farm and Build Infrastructure - Chapter 01

Chapter 01: Male, Will You Marry Me?   This wasn't a dilapidated shack?!   Changxia stared at the 50-60 square-foot earth-pit tent. Old animal hides were draped over branches, bound together with vines – simple and rustic. Changxia’s lips twitched uncontrollably; she could only feel speechless. The tribesmen who had brought her here had already left.   She put down her backpack, placing her belongings to the side, not hurrying to begin work.   There was no mistake; this would be her home for the rest of her life.   After silently appreciating it for a moment, Changxia turned to look at Chen Rong behind her. His face was pale, his gait weak and unsteady. One glance revealed his poor health.   “You stay outside, I’ll go in and clean up alone,” Changxia said.   “It’s fine, let me come in with you. This animal den hasn’t been lived in for a long time. Besides insects and ants, we need to check if the roof is rotting,” Chen Rong smiled slightly, e...

Flash Marriage to a Crazy Rich Husband: I Shocked the World! - Chapter 38

Chapter 38: Worth a Thousand Gold       The door was unlocked.   Sisi had gotten up and was washing her face, applying face oil, when she heard someone calling “Wife” outside.   She opened the door to find Qin Yanci standing there.   Sisi's face lit up, and she greeted him sweetly, “A-Ci, what brings you here? Come in.”   Qin Yanci whispered, “It's about the stamps.”   “You traded them for money?” Sisi waited expectantly for his answer.   Qin Yanci said, “I wouldn't trade them without your consent.”   Sisi's heart skipped a beat. Being respected felt so good. She was eager to know the stamps' value. “How much are they worth?”   “Ten yuan.”   Sisi gasped in astonishment. Ten yuan? Over a hundred stamps, worth a thousand gold?   She was rich!   With this money, she could indulge in her buying and selling ventures.   She excitedly grabbed his hand. “Where did you trade them?”   Qin Yanci lowere...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 13

Chapter 13: You Have a New Order Of course, Chen Fan wouldn't argue with Keeper Huang. He thanked him profusely. He had brought a big bag of sweet potatoes, free of charge, how could he not express his gratitude? After seeing Keeper Huang off, he really didn't dare close the door again, so he just left the door slightly ajar, at least that would provide some cover. He went back into the room. He didn't even touch the tea he poured for Captain Yang. He picked it up and felt it. The temperature was just right, so he took a big gulp. It tasted pretty good, what kind of tea is this? He stood up and lifted the lid of the teapot. He saw two large leaves floating inside, about the size of a baby's palm. It turned out to be “ one-horse tea ”. “One-horse tea” refers to a type of tea where a single leaf can be used to make a pot of tea. Some places also call it “ three-horse tea ”. These leaves are not actually tea leaves, but they are harvested from fresh “ HuBei Hawthorn ” lea...
