Flash Marriage to a Crazy Rich Husband: I Shocked the World! - Chapter 61

 Chapter 61: Made a Profit

“These are chicken mushrooms. My brother brought them back from Yunnan.” The girl greeted her.  “They're delicious in soup, stewed with meat, or stir-fried.  Miss, would you like some?”

“How much are they?”

“Eighty cents a jin.  These are dried goods, I don't use a scale.  Half a liang is enough for your family to eat for a while.”  The girl was eager to make a deal.  She explained in detail, “These are all from the village in Yunnan where my brother went to the countryside.  I heard that the villagers usually don't eat them.  I wouldn't be selling them if it wasn't for my mom needing money for her illness.”

Sisi had just heard the manager mention chicken mushrooms.  He paid two yuan a jin for them.

This sack had to be at least thirty or forty jin?

If she bought them all and sold them, she could make dozens of yuan.

She was excited. “How much if I buy them all?”

“All of them?  Can you finish them?  Don't buy something you don't need because I said my family is sick.”  The girl saw that Sisi was well-dressed, had fair skin, was beautiful, and looked kind.  She assumed that her family was rich and she was sympathetic.

But this sack was worth dozens of yuan.  If she bought it all, wouldn't her family scold her?

Sisi said, “I have a lot of relatives. I bought it to give to them. But I want to check the quality.  I'm afraid that they've been sitting for too long and the bottom part is moldy.”

As soon as the girl heard this, she immediately found the man selling mats next to her and asked him for one.

She poured all the mushrooms out and asked Sisi to inspect them.

Sisi examined them carefully and confirmed they were good quality. “I'll take them.”

The girl then weighed them. Forty-two jin.  “Let's say forty jin.  You just need to pay thirty-two yuan.”  This wasn't her first sale.  Every time people bought a few cents worth, and then they took more. It was better to sell them all to this customer.

Sisi paid quickly.  She weighed out two jin and put them in a shopping bag, which she hung on her arm.

Then, she carried the sack to the back door of the restaurant.

Mr. Zhao, the manager, hurried to the backyard when he heard the news from the apprentice.

Sisi said, “This is the chicken mushrooms you wanted this morning.”

Old Zhao smelled the scent and looked at the quality. “This is really good.  Very authentic.  How much do you want to sell it for?”

Sisi observed Old Zhao's words and actions, and after thinking for a moment, she said, “Two yuan and eight.  These are wild ones. It took me several days just to pick them.  It's hot, so we had to flip them and sun-dry them.  It took a lot of effort.”

“Okay.”  Old Zhao had someone inspect the goods and pay her.

Sisi felt like she had undersold it. She should have asked for three yuan.  But the words had already left her mouth.  She couldn't take them back.

After receiving the money, she counted it bill by bill.

Forty jin.

She sold it for one hundred and twelve yuan.  After subtracting the thirty-two yuan cost, she made a net profit of eighty yuan.

Not only had she made up for the money from the red envelopes, but she also had some savings now.

This is what it meant to do business.

You make a lot of money just by reselling things.

When she saves enough, she'll buy a small house of her own, too.

If she and Qin Yanci have a falling out in the future, she'll hide away.  He wouldn't even be able to find her if he wanted, even with a dog.

Heh.

She put the money in her pocket, her eyes crinkled with a smile.  “Thank you.”

Old Zhao said, “We also collect fresh mushrooms here.  If you have a source, remember to come to me.”

“No problem!” After Sisi left, she went to a noodle shop nearby to eat noodles.

She had just sat down.

A familiar voice came. “A bowl of beef noodles.”

Ying Sisi turned her head and saw the young man.  He was still wearing the same clothes as yesterday, clean and fresh.  He is eye-catching.

She called out sweetly, “A-Ci.”

The young man lifted his eyes.  Actually, he had noticed her when he passed by outside. He was a little curious.  Since he wanted to eat, he came in and sat down randomly.

Sisi frowned.  This guy!

He saw her, but he didn't greet her or sit with her.

What's the meaning of this?

She took the initiative to go over and sit next to him.  “Where have you been these past couple of days?”

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 01

Chapter 01: Time Travel Needs Ritual They say that if you set the air conditioner to 16 degrees Celsius, light a candle, put an alarm clock in front of the candle, then sleep under a warm air conditioner blanket, and chant "Heaven and Earth are boundless, the cosmos is turned upside down," you can time travel?   Chen Fan came out of the bathroom after a drunken shower, remembering what his colleague, who was known for his mysterious ways and constantly mentioning the I Ching and esoteric arts (and nicknamed "Daoist"), had said during a drinking session.   Thinking about how he had been in an orphanage since he was 10 years old, and how he had only managed to get through college thanks to part-time jobs and his parents' inheritance, and how he had been working for years but still just a struggling wage earner renting a place in a suburban village, without any family support, it seemed like time traveling wouldn't be too bad. It wouldn't be worse than his...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 13

Chapter 13: You Have a New Order Of course, Chen Fan wouldn't argue with Keeper Huang. He thanked him profusely. He had brought a big bag of sweet potatoes, free of charge, how could he not express his gratitude? After seeing Keeper Huang off, he really didn't dare close the door again, so he just left the door slightly ajar, at least that would provide some cover. He went back into the room. He didn't even touch the tea he poured for Captain Yang. He picked it up and felt it. The temperature was just right, so he took a big gulp. It tasted pretty good, what kind of tea is this? He stood up and lifted the lid of the teapot. He saw two large leaves floating inside, about the size of a baby's palm. It turned out to be “ one-horse tea ”. “One-horse tea” refers to a type of tea where a single leaf can be used to make a pot of tea. Some places also call it “ three-horse tea ”. These leaves are not actually tea leaves, but they are harvested from fresh “ HuBei Hawthorn ” lea...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 15

Chapter 15: Acquiring a New Skill   Back in his room, Chen Fan continued reading, but after a while, he couldn't focus. His mind was filled with what Jiang Lili had just said.   The chickens were eaten, and they don't raise pigs.   Everyone else went home for the New Year, and they didn't leave anything good for that girl?   That's too much!   After a while, Chen Fan couldn't sit still, so he put down the book, got up and walked out.   He went to Jiang Lili's door and greeted her, "Hey, Xiao Jiang."   Jiang Lili immediately came over, "What is it?"   She paused, a strange look flashed in her eyes. She whispered, "Chen... Chen Fan, I want to ask you something."   Chen Fan was about to speak, but when he heard her say this, he smiled, "Ask away."   Jiang Lili curiously looked at him, "How old are you this year?"   Chen Fan blinked, guessing what she meant, and said, "Eighteen."   Sixteen, almost sevente...
