Flash Marriage to a Crazy Rich Husband: I Shocked the World! - Chapter 04

 Chapter 04: Scheming

Ying Sisi couldn't bring herself to call out, nor did she want to, so she silently gripped the hem of her clothes.

Song Hanmei's facade cracked as she scolded, “Other people's children are just ungrateful. They are provided with good food and drink, yet they won't even greet anyone.”

“Mom, my sister is new here and feels shy about calling out. I'll take her around to help her get familiar with the environment and ease her nerves,” Li Yuwei said, pulling Ying Sisi along as they headed outside.

Fuming, Song Hanmei thought to herself, that little brat is turning against me, ruining my plans.

She had already devised a plan — to take Ying Sisi to Feng Er's place and lock them in a room together, then call people to catch them in the act. This way, Ying Sisi would have her reputation ruined and would have no choice but to marry Feng Er.

After walking for a bit, Li Yuwei said, “Sister, I just remembered I have an appointment with a friend. Why don't you wait for me in the park ahead? It’s sunny there and quite warm.”

“Okay.” As Ying Sisi walked partway, she felt something was off. Li Yuwei, who prided herself on her education and integrity, would never forget a meeting with a friend after saying she would help her get familiar with the area.

Was she deliberately trying to get rid of her?

She quietly followed behind.

Ying Sisi watched as Li Yuwei arrived at the entrance of a large courtyard.

After carefully arranging her clothes and hair, she called out excitedly, “Is Brother Feng home?”

Feng Er, whose real name was Feng Shuangxi, was lazy and had nothing to his name. At twenty-six, he was still single, and when he saw women, his eyes lit up. The local girls avoided him, but now, for the first time, a woman was coming to find him and calling him “brother.” He thought Li Yuwei must be interested in him.

He couldn't help but feel overjoyed, responding smoothly, “I thought a fairy had come to visit, but it's just my little sister Yuwei.”

Li Yuwei thought to herself, “People are judged by their appearance, and Feng Shuangxi is a perfect example of that.”

Currently, he looked rather ordinary and even a bit like a clown, but she imagined that once he wore a tailored suit and a luxury watch, he would stand out and become the heartthrob of many girls and young women.

The thought of his successful future made her blush, and she shyly responded, “Brother Feng, you flatter me. I'm no fairy.”

Feng Shuangxi was thrilled by her response, his smile widening. “Come in and have a seat?”

Li Yuwei hesitated. She wanted to marry him but didn't want to ruin her reputation in the process.

However, if she missed this chance to get close to him, she would have to wait until after the New Year.

On this day in her previous life, Ying Sisi had been tricked into Feng's house by her mother, trapped inside.

Ying Sisi had banged on the door in fear, and outsiders thought she was being harassed by Feng Shuangxi.

Her father, feeling ashamed, decided that Ying Sisi had to marry Feng Shuangxi.

Once Ying Sisi entered Feng's house, he surprisingly changed from a lazy good-for-nothing to someone hardworking and capable. Not long after, it was rumored that he earned a thousand yuan in the black market.

He dressed Ying Sisi as beautifully as the women in the city.

Even when it was later revealed that Ying Sisi couldn't have children, he treated her well, showering her with love and care.

Ying Sisi was already beautiful, and with a man doting on her with money, she became even more elegant and charming.

Meanwhile, she herself had been tormented by Qin Yanci, feeling like a ghost of her former self.

At this moment, desire overcame her reservations. “How about we go to a nearby teahouse instead?”

Feng Shuangxi, sensing an opportunity, eagerly agreed, “Sure!”

Hiding in a secluded spot, Ying Sisi was wide-eyed in shock.

She couldn't understand why Li Yuwei, a well-mannered young lady, would actively flirt with a man who looked like a rogue.

If it were her, she wouldn't even want to speak to him, let alone be within a meter of him; she would consider beating him up.

With a heart full of doubt, Ying Sisi left.

After being coaxed into the capital by her father for three months, she had learned about the black market in the city. The goods there were far richer than those in the regular market, and the prices were reasonable.

During this time, she planned to buy some flour from fellow villagers, make fried dough twists, and sell them.

At the entrance of the black market, there were people on lookout. Seeing Ying Sisi's unfamiliar face, they were very cautious. “Miss, that's the courtyard where people live; you can't go any further.”

Nervously, Ying Sisi took out her entry permit. “Hello, big brother, I have proof.”

This piece of proof was something she had bought for two yuan, and she had hesitated a long time before deciding to get it, fearing that next time it might not be recognized.

Fortunately, after looking at it, the lookout man said, “You can go in.”

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 01

Chapter 01: Time Travel Needs Ritual They say that if you set the air conditioner to 16 degrees Celsius, light a candle, put an alarm clock in front of the candle, then sleep under a warm air conditioner blanket, and chant "Heaven and Earth are boundless, the cosmos is turned upside down," you can time travel?   Chen Fan came out of the bathroom after a drunken shower, remembering what his colleague, who was known for his mysterious ways and constantly mentioning the I Ching and esoteric arts (and nicknamed "Daoist"), had said during a drinking session.   Thinking about how he had been in an orphanage since he was 10 years old, and how he had only managed to get through college thanks to part-time jobs and his parents' inheritance, and how he had been working for years but still just a struggling wage earner renting a place in a suburban village, without any family support, it seemed like time traveling wouldn't be too bad. It wouldn't be worse than his...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 13

Chapter 13: You Have a New Order Of course, Chen Fan wouldn't argue with Keeper Huang. He thanked him profusely. He had brought a big bag of sweet potatoes, free of charge, how could he not express his gratitude? After seeing Keeper Huang off, he really didn't dare close the door again, so he just left the door slightly ajar, at least that would provide some cover. He went back into the room. He didn't even touch the tea he poured for Captain Yang. He picked it up and felt it. The temperature was just right, so he took a big gulp. It tasted pretty good, what kind of tea is this? He stood up and lifted the lid of the teapot. He saw two large leaves floating inside, about the size of a baby's palm. It turned out to be “ one-horse tea ”. “One-horse tea” refers to a type of tea where a single leaf can be used to make a pot of tea. Some places also call it “ three-horse tea ”. These leaves are not actually tea leaves, but they are harvested from fresh “ HuBei Hawthorn ” lea...

Transmigration in 1977 - Chapter 15

Chapter 15: Acquiring a New Skill   Back in his room, Chen Fan continued reading, but after a while, he couldn't focus. His mind was filled with what Jiang Lili had just said.   The chickens were eaten, and they don't raise pigs.   Everyone else went home for the New Year, and they didn't leave anything good for that girl?   That's too much!   After a while, Chen Fan couldn't sit still, so he put down the book, got up and walked out.   He went to Jiang Lili's door and greeted her, "Hey, Xiao Jiang."   Jiang Lili immediately came over, "What is it?"   She paused, a strange look flashed in her eyes. She whispered, "Chen... Chen Fan, I want to ask you something."   Chen Fan was about to speak, but when he heard her say this, he smiled, "Ask away."   Jiang Lili curiously looked at him, "How old are you this year?"   Chen Fan blinked, guessing what she meant, and said, "Eighteen."   Sixteen, almost sevente...
